Alex Briones transformed an apartment in the center of Madrid. By raising the ceilings and knocking down walls, he freed up the space to fill it with rationalist furniture from the 1950s. Seriousness is the common thread.

Born in Barcelona, Spain, with a self-taught artistic training -as he studied law- and with a marked passion for art, architecture and design, he began his professional career in the world of interior design in 2008 participating in casa decor Madrid inaugurating “Apartment seventy four”, a space located in the dome of the Luchana Palace that included a light sculpture of the renowned physicist and British Nobel Prize winner, Paul Friedlander. With a marked influence of Catalan modernism and art deco from the beginning of the century, his professional career is mainly focused on a constant commitment to achieve new decorative challenges with a clear maxim: “In decoration everything fits as long as you get the balance between materials, shapes, colors and textures”.
